Singapore’s Doctor Anywhere moves into Vietnam

Singapore-based telehealth startup Doctor Anywhere has signed a deal with Bao Minh Insurance, one of the Vietnam’s largest insurance groups, to bring online healthcare services to its customers.

‘Bao Minh is thrilled to be the pioneer in the Vietnam market to offer digital healthcare solutions as part of our insurance programs. We are always on the lookout for innovative ways to improve our service quality. This collaboration

with Doctor Anywhere will allow us to be well-positioned to meet the demands of the digital age in Vietnam,’ said Le Van Thành, general director and board member of Bao Minh.

Vietnam has a population of around 96 million, with a smartphone penetration rate of 84% in key cities. Under this partnership, Bao Minh’s 7 million customers will have access to Doctor Anywhere’s suite of digital healthcare solutions; they can video-consult a Vietnamese doctor on their telephone and get medication delivered to them within three hours in the city. Founded in 2015, Doctor Anywhere provides healthcare providers with options for care delivery, improving their access and reach to patients. The company’s current products offer care-seekers access to healthcare providers through video consultations on the mobile telephone. These services are currently available via the Doctor Anywhere app.
