Tourists From All Countries Welcome In Dominica

Dominica is welcoming tourists and health tourists from all countries as part of phase two of the reopening of its borders. Stringent COVID-19 testing and checks are still required.

Visitors must obtain a negative COVID-19 test recorded 24 to 72 hours before arriving in Dominica. Then, they complete an online questionnaire at least 24 hours in advance and show their clearance to travel. Upon arrival, they will undergo a series of checks, including a rapid test screening. Should the passenger present any signals deemed unsafe, such as a positive test result, they will be quarantined at a government facility or a certified hotel.

Dominica is a natural fit for health tourism. Famed for its biodiversity, the second largest boiling lake on earth, active volcanoes, black sand beaches, heavily protected rainforests, the island is a haven for eco-enthusiasts and environmentally conscious travellers.

Properties such as Secret Bay offer a StayWell Programme that supports holistic health and wellness, safety and responsible luxury. Secret Bay has introduced immune-boosting remedies including morning wellness shots consisting of turmeric, ginger, moringa, kale, cucumber, wild honey, beetroot, local oranges and pineapples.

Secret Bay has also launched a backyard garden programme. Each villa has its own garden where guests can forage for herbs, Asian leafy greens, chives/spring onions, lettuce and tomatoes.

Wellness tourism is a key sector for Dominica, where services such as holistic massage, yoga, chiropractic care, coaching, Pilates, fitness and a range of spa facilities are on offer together with natural products and herbs.
