UAE: outbound non-vaccinated medical travel allowed

The United Arab Emirates will allow outbound travel for individuals medically exempted from taking the Covid-19 vaccine, humanitarian cases, and those travelling for medical and treatment purposes.

The UAE has announced a travel ban for all other unvaccinated citizens not covered by the above exemptions. The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has also said that vaccinated citizens, in order to travel, are also required to obtain the booster dose as per the country’s Covid protocol.

There is a snag for unvaccinated medical tourists. They may be able to leave the UAE but many countries in Europe will not allow them in unless they are fully vaccinated.
