USCIPP promotes US healthcare overseas

A new partnership will promote healthcare in the USA in China, Hong Kong, and Brazil. U.S. Cooperative for International Patient Programs (USCIPP) is working with the International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

The U.S. Cooperative for International Patient Programs (USCIPP) has partnered with Chicago-based brand consultancy and strategic communications firm Health Brand Group (HBG) to promote healthcare in the USA in the international markets of China, Hong Kong, and Brazil.

In partnership with the International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce, HBG and USCIPP will seek to improve international access to high-quality U.S. healthcare.

Since 2010, USCIPP has provided its members – 64 U.S. academic medical centres, hospitals, and health systems – with a collaborative forum aimed at expanding global access to high-quality U.S. healthcare and strengthening the international competitiveness of U.S. providers.

This will be the first time that US hospitals have got together to actively promote the USA as a medical destination. The message is of quality of treatment and care, not saving money.

The USCIPP and HBG target is 30% overall growth by 2018 in patients from China, Hong Kong, and Brazil to the selected U.S. hospitals.

The campaign will target patients and overseas providers who could refer patients to the USA.
