‘Strong’ year for Healthcare at Home

Healthcare at Home, which provides complex home healthcare services and administers medicines to patients receiving treatment at home and in the community, reported a strong performance for the year ending 31 October 2012. Turnover increased from £980m to £1.1bn while costs were just over £1.0bn (2011: £916m with £2.3m exceptional stock loss). This left gross profits for 2012 of £69.0m (2011: £61.4m) and after distribution costs and administrative expenses of £54.2m (2011: £46.4m) the company was left with an operating profit of £15.2m (2011: £15.1m).
