A good year for Somerset Care

High occupancy rates led to increases in revenues and profits for major operator Somerset Care Limited its result for the year ended 31 March 2011 show. Turnover for the report period increased by 5.6% to £75.1m from £71.1m in 2010. Overall, operating profit stood at £4.9m (2010: £3.2m) and the care home and domiciliary care provider reported a bottom line figure of £2.4m.
