Ashley House re-establishes growth

Ashley House posted positive preliminary results for the year ending 30 April 2013 last month which indicate that its move further into the social care sector was successful. Ashley House, which is primarily a GP partner, moved further into social care following a tough 2012 which saw EBITDA plummet over £3m. In a May trading update it reported that its move to diversify into other areas of care, in particular extra care, was starting to bear fruit (see HMn May 2013). The preliminary results support this with Ashley House predicting EBITDA before exceptionals of £2m (2012: £177,000) and profit before tax of £400,000 (2012: loss of £21.7m).
