BBC reveals abuse at Castlebeck home

The Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) failure to act’ following a whistleblower’s tip-off of problems at a specialist care facility run by independent provider Castlebeck has led to an announcement that the watchdog will itself face a ministerial inquiry into organisational failings while also being tasked with carrying out a series of unannounced inspections at learning disability hospitals across the country.
