Capsticks expands competition team

Healthcare law specialist, Capsticks, has bolstered its competition team by recruiting Noel Watson-Doig from the BBC’s legal department were he led its competition and regulatory team. Mr Watson-Doig has eight years of experience of EU and UK competition law, initially training as a barrister at the Court of Justice of the EU. He has worked on a range of high profile matters including the European Commission’s clearance of Syniverse Technologies’ acquisition of Billing Services Group; the Competition Commission’s review of the broadcasting joint venture Project Kangaroo; and the Office of Fair Trading’s investigation in the UK grocery sector. He also advised HM Treasury on the competition protocol included in the Lisbon Treaty. Capsticks’ Competition team is currently working on a range of healthcare mergers and acquisitions and other competition cases.
