Care homes like TB beds, says NHS head

NHS chief executive Simon Stevens has incurred the wrath of the care sector by saying he would be disappointed’ if residential homes still existed in 50 years’ time. Speaking at the Age UK Later in Life conference at the beginning of the month, he compared being in a home to the TB hospitals of the first half of the last century.
