Coalition cuts in adult social care total a massive £1.3bn

Care associations have condemned a £1.3bn fall in older people’s social care spend by English councils since the Coalition came to power, claiming that tough austerity measures have led to authorities commissioning far fewer services that are required by elderly residents.
