Election outcome makes private healthcare more desirable

New research from Benenden has found that the public are more likely to want private healthcare since May’s General Election. Almost one in five (17%) of the 1,025 adults who took part in the health cover provider’s survey said the outcome of the election had made them more likely to want private healthcare. This tied in with a number of other findings. Three in five respondents said they thought the NHS would get worse over the next five years while 58% believe the new Conservative government will be worse for the NHS than the previous Coalition.
