Falling occupancy hits turnover at Lighthouse

Turnover has fallen at Lighthouse Healthcare, the holding company for a number of learning disability and mental health hospitals and care homes, due to falling occupancy levels across the group’s eight services. Though the directors do not highlight it, the decline presumably reflects the commissioning climate created by the government driven programme of review of learning disability placements in hospitals and assessment centres, following the Castlebeck scandal.
