Fears for ABI support

Acquired brain injury (ABI) charityHeadway reported last month that local authority budget cuts and welfare reform has caused almost half of people (48%) with the condition to lose access to rehabilitation and support services. The report also found that 70% of respondents felt that their long term support needs would increase if they did not get access to the support they need now and that the same number were struggling to cope financially due to welfare reform. More than half reported a deterioration in their quality of life.
