Focus falls on regulator over PIP implants

In the fallout from the faulty PIP implants scandal which has rocked the cosmetic surgery world in recent weeks, the Independent Healthcare Advisory Services (IHAS) has said that if there is any moral or ethical obligation outstanding it lies with the Government’s regulatory agency, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)’.
