General Election round-up

Long before the main parties launched their Election campaigns, warnings rang out not to use the NHS as a political football but with the return of long waiting lists, missed targets, an unprecedented crisis in A&E and underperformance at a number of NHS trusts, it was inevitable that health would top the agenda. More akin to a boxing ring than a football pitch, the battle lines over the NHS were drawn up early in the campaign. We round up the health policies of the main contenders.
