GenMed suffers a loss

GenMed, the independent sector GP provider in London (City and West End), has reported for the year ended 31 May 2012 turnover of £8.0m (2011: £6.2m). Cost of sales was £4.5m (2011: £3.3m) and administrative expenses £5.0m (2011: £3.2m) leading to a loss before tax was £1.5m (2011: loss of £329,000). In May 2012 the company closed a nurse led walk-in centre at Liverpool Street Station which accounted for £394,000 in the accounts for discontinued operations.
