Hays Healthcare suffers a loss

Hays Healthcare Ltd which supplies doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and operating department practitioners to hospitals, reported a loss in 2010/11, as it battled against tough market conditions it says were faced by the public sector throughout the year. Dependence on the NHS means the company will have been hit by NHS spending cuts. The directors also cite the absence of underlying growth of the UK economy as having an impact on its business.
