Independent sector fears ‘Armageddon’ as doubts cast over reforms

Andrew Lansley’s healthcare reforms could be scaled back significantly, leading many observers to envisage an Armageddon’ scenario in which the independent sector becomes the sacrificial lamb used to appease Liberal Democrats and to smooth a heavily amended Health and Social Care Bill through parliament.
