Integration projects announced

Care minister Norman Lamb announced 14 health and social care integration pilots last month. The minister revealed details of 14 areas leading the way in delivering better joined up care. The pilot areas are Barnsley, Cheshire, Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, Greenwich, Islington, Leeds, Kent, north west London, north Staffordshire, south Devon and Torbay, Southend, south Tyneside, Waltham Forest and East London and City, and Worcestershire. The 14 ambitious initiatives are said to be blazing a trail for change by pioneering new ways of delivering coordinated care’. The pioneers have been selected by a panel of experts, including international experts drawing together global expertise and experience of how good joined up care works in practice.
