Mike Farrar leaves NHS Confederation

Mike Farrar is to stand down as chief executive of the NHS Confederation as his two-and-a-half-year secondment to the organisation from the NHS has come to an end. After 30 years’ service, Mr Farrar has decided to move on from the NHS and launch a new career in healthcare consultancy. He will however continue to work in the coming months on a number of major projects for the NHS Confederation, to ensure that initiatives like the Bureaucracy Review and the Accelerator Fund come to fruition.
