Dr Ruth May has been appointed nursing director at Monitor within its patient and clinical engagement team. Previously regional chief nurse and nurse director for the Midlands and East region of NHS England, in her new role Dr May will complement the clinical advice provided by the watchdogs medical director and executive director of patient and clinical engagement, Professor Hugo Mascie-Taylor.
