NHS could eat into IVF market share after NICE recommendations

Private hospitals offering fertility treatment may see some impact from the easing of restrictions for treatment for IVF under the NHS as per recommendations issued in May by the national Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). The recommendations outline how many IVF treatments should be made available to older women and same sex couples – and mean that more treatment could be available on the NHS, taking away some of the private sector’s share of the pot.
