Norse Care continues to grow steadily

Local authority trading company Norse Care reported a marginal increase in turnover from £32.9m to £33.5m for the year ended 31 January 2014. A slight drop in the cost of sales to £29.7m (2013: £30.2m) and higher administrative expenses of £3.3m (2013: £1.7m) resulted in operating profit of £526,000 (2013: £1.1m). After income on bank interest of £24,000 (2013: £23,000) was taken into account, the operator made a pre-tax profit of £550,000 (2013: £1.1m).
