Its portfolio will include eight homes for older people and four for younger adults and it has been contracted to provide services for the next five years, with the opportunity to extend the deal by a further two years. Under the governance arrangements for the business, the council cannot subsidise Olympus Care in any way in order to give it a competitive advantage over other providers. It will lease the homes from the council at a competitive market rate, according to council documents.
