Out-turn council spending dropped by 5.3% in 2011/12

New data released at the end of November by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) shows that gross local authority expenditure on social services for older and physically disabled people in England dropped by 5.3% in cash terms in 2011/12 compared with the previous year.
