Randstad revenue plummets 35%

Social care staffing provider, Randstad Care Ltd reported a 35% decrease in turnover for the year 31 December 2011 falling dramatically from £73.5m in 2010 to £47.5m. Directors pointed to reduced public sector spending and a general decline in the social care market’ and 2011’s losses followed a poor performance in 2010.As a result of this Randstad Care Ltd made an operating loss of just over £2m, a slight improvement on 2010’s loss of over £3.1m. Loss on ordinary activites before taxation fell to £1,8m from £3m in 2010. Overall losses for the financial year fell to £1.9m from £2.3m in 2010. Randstad dissolved two of its group companies, Cleshar Ltd and Reliance Resources Ltd, as part of a wider reorganisation of the Randstad UK group.
