Resistance to care technology found

Despite seven out of ten people routinely using technology to assist with banking, shopping and communications, only three in ten are embracing it to help care for older or disabled relatives. A national YouGov poll, commissioned by charity Carers UK and supported by technology provider Tunstall Healthcare found that all generations are failing to switch-on to care technologies – with young and old, middle class and wealthier respondents and social media users all reporting low use of gadgets and online health and care support systems.
