Scottish dementia estimates revealed

Dementia sufferers now account for half of all care home residents across Scotland, according to the latest Scottish Government figures showing that more than 16,000 people have been diagnosed with the condition. The announcement has prompted fears that care home staff are not sufficiently equipped to cope with the rise.
