Too many frail elderly in hospital finds Dr Foster

Far too many people are staying in hospital who shouldn’t be there, particularly the frail elderly, according to the latest research from Dr Foster. The report highlights how the NHS can’t operate effectively if it has to run at maximum capacity – something which should encourage greater integration between state and private sector health and social care services.
