Chief executive Jill Watts of Ramsay Healthcare, the private hospital provider, hinted that the company, which has its roots in Australia, may be interested in taking over a failing NHS hospital on a not-for-profit basis. Speaking at a DLA Piper event, Healthcare in the Modern World, Ms Watts, commented: Were happy to take on a failing hospital and not make a profit but not happy to take at a loss and turning around is a hard thing to do and requires a long term plan.
