Health insurance ranked second most desirable benefit

Health insurance is now the most popular workplace benefit after contributory pension schemes, according to the 2016 Willis PMI Group Employee Benefits Index. The index, which explores attitudes to employee benefits among workers in the UK, found that 40% ranked health insurance among their top three favourite benefits – up from 37% in 2015.

Surge in cost of cancer claims in construction industry

The cost of health insurance claims for cancer treatment amongst building contractors and trades people has leapt by 84% since 2012, according to new research by ECIS, the specialist employee benefits company for the construction sector.

Half of adults happy to receive remote diagnosis

A report by insurance company Aviva has revealed growing acceptance among the public of emerging online doctor services, with almost half of UK adults indicating that they would be happy to receive a remote diagnosis through digital health technology.
