IHPN seeks feedback on Medical Practitioners Assurance Framework

Sir Bruce Keogh has been appointed non-executive chair of Sensyne Health

The Independent Healthcare Providers Network (IHPN) is asking independent providers for feedback on its forthcoming Medical Practitioners Assurance Framework (MPAF), due for launch at its Annual Summit on 23 October.

The framework, developed under the chairmanship of former national medical director at NHS England, Sir Bruce Keogh, with expert input from a balance of IHPN members and key external stakeholders, looks at four areas around effective clinical governance for medical practitioners in the independent sector. The document is designed to align with existing legal and regulatory frameworks rather than create additional bureaucracy.

As part of the finalisation process, IHPN is seeking feedback from independent provider organisations from across the sector, particularly on key considerations on how the MPAF might be effectively implemented. It is asking any independent sector provider not already engaged in the process through formal membership of IHPN to contact [email protected] for a copy of the MPAF.

The deadline for feedback is 30 August 2019.
