Anchor Trust and Hanover Housing Association have confirmed that their proposed merger will go ahead.
Both organisations have been in merger discussions since May to form Anchor Hanover Group, making it the largest provider of specialist housing and care for older people in England. The combined group will comprise 60,000 homes across 1,700 sites.
In July they announced a 10-member shadow non-executive board.
The date of the merger will depend on when formal consents are given and registration with the Financial Conduct Authority.
