Homecare fees fall short of meeting rising costs, research shows

More than a quarter of homecare contracts in England are at rates below direct employment costs at the legal minimum wage. This is undermining safety and quality of care, worker welfare and rights, and continuity of services, argues the Homecare Association, which also accuses national and local government of being complicit in ‘state-sponsored labour exploitation’….
