Homecare provider Nobilis has appointed Joanna Stone as its head of human resources.
Stone has nearly 20 years’ experience in HR and personnel development in the UK and Ireland, having worked in the hospitality, tourism and building supplies sectors.
She has led strategic organisational projects, performance management programmes and has experience as a team leader on learning and development, and talent management.
As reported last week, Nobilis plans to complete five deals over the next three months, adding to eight acquisitions it made last year, as it grows its operations.
‘Joanna’s experience in handling complex HR issues and her understanding of the needs of a customer service-focused business will make her a key member of the Nobilis team,’ said managing director Peter Harrington. ‘We’re expecting to double the size of our business this year, and Joanna will be integral to ensuring we have the right teams and organisational structures in place to meet the demands of our growing customer base.’
Stone added: ‘The at-home care sector is dynamic but demanding, with lots of variables to consider – from recruiting carers not only with the right credentials and attitude to care, but also understanding how to nurture and “grow” those employees so they feel trusted and appreciated contributors to the business.’
