MHA appoints Tony Tench as director of property and estates

Methodist Homes (MHA) has strengthened its executive leadership team with the appointment of Tony Tench as director of property and estates.

Tench has more than 25 years’ experience in housing development, asset management and adult social care through roles at Housing 21, Anchor, and the former Hanover Housing Association before it merged with Anchor.

He joins from Housing 21, where he is deputy chief executive. He will start with MHA in October, and his appointment strengthens the charity’s executive leadership team following the appointments of Cathryn Taylor as director of people and communications and Amanda Weir as director of operations earlier this year.

I’m really looking forward to meeting colleagues and residents, getting to know the services MHA offers and leading the charity’s plans for its homes and schemes to ensure they are fit for the future and continue to enable the delivery of exceptional care for older people,’ Tench said.

MHA supports more than 16,000 older people across its 71 care homes, 59 retirement living schemes and 35 community-based schemes known as MHA Communities, which provide services to help combat loneliness and isolation.
