Savills appoints head of senior housing transactions

Caryn Donahue

Caryn Donahue has joined Savills as head of senior housing transactions in its operational capital markets (OCM) division.

Based at the firm’s head office in London, she will focus on larger senior living and healthcare transactions including their financing and structuring. The division advises on the operational real estate sectors in the UK and EMEA.

Donahue joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where she was a partner and head of its UK retirement living team. Before coming to London, she worked in Cushman’s equity, debt and structured finance team focused on senior housing capital markets in Boston in the US, having joined from J.P. Morgan Asset Management.

‘There is a clear lack of supply of high quality housing for seniors in the UK and I look forward to continuing to work with investor, operator and developer clients to facilitate increased investment into the sector,’ she said.

Peter Allen, executive director and head of Savills OCM division, said: ‘Caryn has a wealth of expertise across the senior living and healthcare sectors and we are absolutely delighted to welcome her to our team. Her passion and drive will be a huge asset for our team and for our clients.’
