Older people need a wider choice of accommodation if the government’s strategy to encourage over-55s to move into smaller homes is to succeed.

This is the conclusion of a Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) study, which also found that the government should offer inducements to housing providers to create attractive alternatives.
