Barchester Healthcare opens Whitewater Place

Barchester Healthcare has opened 58-bed Whitewater Place in Odiham, Hampshire.

The home, which will provide residential, dementia and respite care, offers facilities, including a café, dining rooms, cinema room, spa bathrooms and gardens. As with all Barchester homes, there will be a schedule of virtual and live activities for residents.

Barchester’s chief executive officer, Dr Pete Calveley, and senior general manager, Louise Lambert, hosted an opening event, which was attended by Cllr Dr Angela McFarlane, chair of Odiham Parish Council.

‘Whitewater Place is going to be a wonderful home, Louise and her team will offer personalised care for the people of Odiham and the surrounding area in this lovely setting.  We’re thrilled to add Whitewater Place to our Barchester family of quality care homes and hospitals,’ said Dr Calveley.

Cllr Dr McFarlane said: ‘I was delighted to be invited to unveil a plaque and to formally cut the ribbon to mark the completion of the new Whitewater Place Care Home. It was a true honour to visit this wonderful new facility, which represents not just bricks and mortar, but a commitment to dignity, compassion, and community for our older residents.

‘Whitewater Place will be a place where people are cared for with warmth, respect, and professionalism, and I am proud to see such an important investment in the wellbeing of our village.’

Barchester Healthcare supports over 14,000 residents across 271 homes and hospitals for short breaks to long term stays.
