Hadrian Healthcare secures planning permission for care home

Hadrian Healthcare has secured planning permission to build a residential care home in the market town of Penrith, Cumbria.

The proposed ‘five star’ home will be designed to create a manor house-style property, providing accommodation and care for older people in Penrith and the surrounding area.

It will provide suites with bespoke furniture and private bathrooms, as well as lounges, bistros and private dining, all set within gardens with outdoor seating areas. There will also be a beauty salon, café bar, cinema, ‘village shop’, activities programme, and a concierge service.

In addition, accommodation for those living with dementia and other memory impairments has been designed to provide surroundings that are homely, safe and stimulating. This will incorporate an outdoor terrace overlooking the gardens and the surrounding hills.
