Lifeways begins renovation project at Abingdon care service

Work has started on a £500,000 improvement project at Lifeways’ Abingdon residential care service in Southport, Merseyside, which supports people with complex needs, including autism, mental health conditions and learning disabilities.

Its property team, alongside contractor partner EPT, has begun the 32-week project, which will see a range of improvements made to the service.

As part of the renovation, the people supported at the service have been involved in choosing the colours, finishes and overall look of their bedrooms. The service supports up to nine people aged between 20 and 60.

‘Over the past three years, we’ve invested more than £11.3m across our residential services, delivering refurbishments right across the country, from Southampton to Newcastle. We’re delighted to now be bringing this expertise to Abingdon in Southport,’ said Kathryn Evans, national property manager at Lifeways.
