Kensington site with planning for retirement community up for sale

CGI of Heythrop development

Knight Frank and Savills have launched the sale of a freehold site that has planning permission and listed building consents for a retirement housing scheme.

The property advisers have been jointly instructed by an offshore family office to launch Heythrop College, which is a 2.7-acre plot in London’s Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.

In August 2020, Auriens received planning permission for a 142-unit scheme on the site, which has a gross development value of £750m. Plans included a 100-cover restaurant, cinema, wine room, swimming pool, and two acres of gardens.

It has been designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects, with landscape architecture by Andy Sturgeon.

Knight Frank and Savills seniors housing and residential development land teams are working on the sale.
