Meallmore plans to open 30th care home next year

Meallmore plans to open Eaglesham House Care Home in Clarkston, East Renfrewshire, in spring next year – the provider’s 30th property

The home will provide nursing care and support for 50 people, including those with dementia and its related conditions. It will have private en suite bedrooms, a cinema room, hair salon and champagne bar.

Once open, Eaglesham House will provide 80 full-time equivalent jobs in a variety of roles, including nurses, care assistants, services team members, administrators and managers.

The home represents a £15m investment by Meallmore and will be its ninth within the Greater Glasgow and West Scotland region.

‘Our experience from managing eight other homes in this region of Scotland means we are very well-equipped with knowledge of the area and will look to continue building strong connections with local members of the public and community groups.’

Meallmore operates 27 homes across Scotland: 21 for older people, five for adults with mental health needs and one for adults with learning or physical disability. Along with Eaglesham House, two other homes are nearing completion, which will provide services for older people in Aberdeen City and Broughty Ferry.
