Difficult year for Shaw Healthcare
Shaw Healthcare reported a turnover of £87.5m for the year ended 31 March 2014, an increase of 3.4% on the previous years £84.6m. After taking into account operating costs of £69.2m (2013: £65m) and administrative expenses of £12.2m (2013: £12.7m), the care provider made an operating profit of £6.1m (2013: £6.9m). Following interest charges of £6m (2013: £6.3m), Shaw Healthcare made a pre-tax profit of £851,000 (2013: £1.9m).
