AXA PPP healthcare is to offer APRIL UK’s health insurance customers continuation of their cover following APRIL UK’s decision last week to exit the UK PMI market.
APRIL UK said in a statement today that its individual and SME customers can continue their policies with AXA PPP ‘with no personal additional medical exclusions’.
The UK focused protection specialist added: ‘The arrangement means that no client will be left without an offer of continuing their cover at renewal. Intermediaries can renegotiate their (individual and group) clients’ cover mid-term with AXA PPP healthcare although commission clawback will be applied by APRIL UK, where applicable.’
Commenting on the deal, an AXA PPP healthcare spokesperson said: ‘As one of the largest and most experienced health insurance providers in the UK, we know that people value the real peace of mind that comes with health cover.
‘We look forward to working with intermediaries and helping their APRIL UK clients secure health cover that meets their needs.’
AXA PPP healthcare is a trading subsidiary of AXA UK, offering PMI plans to individuals and corporate customers. In 2015 it acquired health insurance business Simplyhealth.
