AXA merges three healthcare brands to become AXA Health

Insurance company AXA UK has merged three of its health and wellbeing brands under a new name, AXA Health.

The three brands that have merged include AXA’s health insurance businesses AXA PPP healthcare and Health-on-Line, and its employee support service, Health Services/ICAS UK.

The company will also be simplifying its business structure and legal entities.

AXA said the merger will drive innovation and speed the introduction of supportive health and wellbeing propositions.

Tracy Garrad, CEO of AXA Health, said that by continually making improvements to its business, AXA can make things simpler and easier for its intermediaries and clients.

‘With this change comes a new ambition – to help our members be the best version of themselves, whether that’s feeling fitter, improving their mental wellbeing or reducing their health risks, one win at a time,’ Garrad added.

The move follows a number of senior hires at AXA PPP Healthcare. In June, it appointed Anna Matty as chief operating officer, followed by the appointment of Andy McClure as marketing and propositions director in July.
