Rehabplus bought by digital healthcare company

Physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation services provider Rehabplus has been bought by Physitrack.

The details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Established in 2013 in Fareham, Hampshire as Advanced Total Therapy Limited until its rebrand in January 2020, Rehabplus offers services in physiotherapy, acupuncture, biomechanical assessments and more across over 26 locations in the UK.

‘Physitrack has been a trusted technology partner of ours ever since we launched our care product, and we could not be happier that they chose to deepen their ties with us in this way,’ said Chris Bartlett, managing director of Rehabplus.

‘We are especially excited about the way we can now offer Physitrack direct access to clinical expertise to aid their phenomenal international growth.’

Henrik Molin, chief executive officer of Physitrack, added: ‘We are delighted to welcome Rehabplus to the Physitrack family, and are very excited about this unique opportunity to further develop our healthcare provider and patient user experience for the Physitrack and Physiotools products.

‘The Rehabplus team brings a breadth of knowledge in both hands-on and virtual care provision that will be key for ongoing R&D work, and for helping expand our virtual care offering to a wider audience.’

Physitrack, founded in 2012, is a digital healthcare company and the provider of a solution for patient engagement that encompasses clinical home exercise and education prescription, outcomes tracking and telehealth for physical rehabilitation and prevention.

It reaches tens of thousands of healthcare providers, and several million patients in the UK and more than 100 countries.

In June, the company was the chosen provider of technology for remote physiotherapy patient engagement, outcomes tracking and telehealth via mobile and web apps at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
