Easton steps down as executive chair of Practice Plus Group divisions

Jim Easton is stepping down from his role as executive chair of Practice Plus Group’s Integrated Urgent Care and Health in Justice divisions.  

He will be succeeded by David Beresford, who will become chief executive, while remaining with the business in a non-executive director position.

Beresford was previously interim chief operating officer at Nuffield Health, where he has led the financial turnaround of the hospitals and primary care businesses. He has more than 30 years’ experience working in business services including Accenture, Serco and Equiniti. As chief strategy and commercial officer at Equiniti, he led the growth strategy and successful FTSE flotation in 2015.

Commenting on his departure, Easton (pictured) said: ‘After 13 extraordinary years, now is the right time for new leadership for our Integrated Urgent Care and Health In Justice work, both for the business, and for me. I am delighted to have worked with the Board to appoint David Beresford, who I have no doubt will take the business from strength to strength and I look forward to supporting him in the background as he does so.’

Beresford added: ‘I am delighted to be joining Practice Plus Group and to build upon the strong businesses that Jim and team have created. I believe there is a real opportunity to take both Integrated Urgent Care and Health in Justice to the next level, and I am looking forward to getting started.’
