Former Aspen CEO appointed as One Healthcare chairman

One Healthcare Partners Ltd has appointed Desmond Shiels as its chairman.

Shiels has worked in the independent healthcare sector for more than 25 years and spent 17 years at Aspen Healthcare, including 12 years as chief executive officer. He previously worked at HCA and Ernst & Young.

He has also served on trade body boards including as chairperson of the Association of Independent Healthcare Organisations, prior to its amalgamation with the Independent Heathcare Provider Network.
